What is a Enamel Jewelry?
Enamel Jewelry
Enamel jewelry is manufactured by using a a paste or powder of various colors, which is then applied to metal, and fired in an annealing oven so that the glass is baked on to the metal. Often used in vintage brooches but can also be used in other forms of jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets.
Enamel jewelry is often very colorful and lends itself to themed jewelry, such as Christmas jewelry, teacher jewelry, nautical jewelry and other themes.
Our resource library has a longer article on the subject of Cloisonné enamel jewelry.
