Do you love pearl necklaces? These are one of this years hottest trends for necklaces in the last few years, thanks partly to the first lady - Michelle Obama's love of them.
One of my best selling necklaces is a lovely single strand which is 120 inches long and is made of glass. The pearls have a fabulous luster, are hand knotted, and can be worn long and loose in a flapper style, knotted at the front, worn down the back of a strapless dress or wrapped several times for a multi strand look the way it is shown here.
The necklace is an endless style with no clasp. Imagine the possibilities for wearing it!
I have the this pearl necklace and many other pretty styles available in white, creamy ivory, or black. This necklace is priced at only $17.99 . Here are some photos of the pretty design.

Michelle Obama Dazzles in Soronen
Monday, May 24, 2010 11:54:56 AM GMT+5
The first lady, Michelle Obama, dazzled on May 19th, 2010 at the second state dinner at the White House. The first lady
wore a stunning one shouldered royal blue gown designed by Peter Soronen. Her accessories set the look off perfectly.
The blue gown was made with 3 layers of fabric - chiffon over lame chiffon and silk. The shoes she wore were Jimmy Choo's "Jasper" rhinestone sandals, and the earrings were blue sapphire and diamond earrings by Sutra Jewels. The final touch was a dazzling rhinestone belt.

Michelle Obama in Pearls on the Cover of Good Housekeeping

The First Lady, Michelle Obama, certainly loves pearl jewelry. She will grace the cover of Good Housekeeping for the May issue. This is the second time in recent weeks that she has appeared on a national magazine wearing pearls. (The last cover was Newsweek magazine.)
This time, the first lady will wear a wrap dress in a vibrant teal cover, accessorized by a string of pearls. She also followed true to form by using brooches in an unusual way. This time, she added a Garavelli diamond flower pin at the front of the pearls. The pin was a gift from the president and it adds a lovely touch to a classic look.
The article talks to Mrs. Obama about overcoming her biggest fear, keeping her marriage close, raising healthy kids and her one secret vice.

Michelle Obama is Pretty in a Pink Brooch

Michelle Obama's fondness for vintage jewelry brooches is well documented. She has many of them, and often wears
them in unique and unusual ways. Her latest brooch is a real dazzler!
Mrs. Obama recently spoke to a crowd of several hundred at the annual meeting of the School Nutrition Association in Washington, D.C, as part of her current campaign on childhood obesity.
She wore a hot pink dress with folded detail at the neckline. Accessorizing the dress perfectly was this lovely Schreiner brooch, purchased at Ikram's in Chicago. I like the way she accented the pleating of the dress with the careful placement of the brooch.
Schreiner is one of the most collectible of all vintage jewelry designers from the mid 1900s. The design are appreciated for their unusual combination of color and the use of quality stones. One trademark of Schreiner is the use of reverse settings of rhinestones with the point of the rhinestone facing up instead of towards the back of the brooch.
