Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs returns to NYC after more than 30 years!  This exhibit made me think of all the vintage jewelry that is made with an Egyptian revival theme.  These styles are ornate, and full of a rich history.

Here is a YouTube Video (beware:  Sound included) which gives a bit of a preview of the Tutenkamun exhibit will will be on display at the Discovery Times Square Exposition in NY City from April 23, 2010 to January 2, 2011.

My favorite auction house Fellows and Sons has a wonderful array of Egyptian revival jewelry for their Upcoming auction.  Here are some of my favorites:

I love to look over the lots that will be up for auction at the Birmingham UK auction house, Fellows and Sons.  Normally I am looking for cameos to see what beauties they have at the moment, but this time, some lovely charm bracelets caught my eye.

The latest auction of second hand jewelry and watches will take place on April 29.  Online bidding is also available for bidders who won't be in the UK.

The bracelet shown here is one of their latest lots up for bid.  It is a 9ct gold curb bracelet set with twelve charms to include a cup, a whistle, a crown and a elephant. The weight 78 grams.  Estimate of this beauty is £550 - £700.

There are other gold charm bracelets for sale too.  You can view the online catalogue on this page of the Fellows and Sons site.  The jewelry listings start at about lot 130.

If the auction prices are too steep for your tastes, Vintage Jewelry Lane also has a nice range of costume jewelry charm bracelets for sale.
