This vintage demi parure by noted Scandinavian designer Anton Michelsen features a very pretty leaf design in sterling silver. The set consists of a brooch and matching pair of clip back earrings. The size of the pin is 2 3/4 x 1/2" and the earrings are 1 3/8 x 3/8. All pieces are fully hallmarked Sterling Denmark with the Michelsen Sign AM above.
The Anton Michelsen Silversmiths was founded in 1841 and was purchased by the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory in 1968. Since Royal Copenhagen then went on to purchase Georg Jensen as well, Michelsen was gradually merged with Jensen. Today only the annual forks and spoons bear the Michelsen name so his earlier jewelry pieces are very rare and highly collectible.
