Product Description
This vintage set by Matisse features a stunning rust and black enamel and copper leaf design. The demi features a brooch and matching pair of clip back earrings with a marbled red/rust green and black enamel maple leaf design with small copper balls. The sizes are 2 1/4" for the brooch and 1 1/8 x 1" for the earrings. All pieces are signed Matisse on the back.
These are book pieces. The set is simply called "Leaf and there are several examples in the book by Burkholz and Kaplan Copper Art Jewelry on page 85. The parure in rust enamel can also be seen in Julia Carroll’s 2004 book Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 on page 233. Very collectible set of enameled copper jewelry by Matisse.
