Product Description
This fabulous vintage brooch is a book piece. It is featured on page 115, in this color combination, of the book "Copper Art Jewelry," by Matthew L. Burkholz and Linda Lichtenberg Kaplan and is referred to simply as "Leaf." The brooch features enamel on copper and the colors are just stunning with a background of pure white enamel with rust-orange splotches and royal blue veins. The orange splotches are areas which are cut out in the enamel so that the copper back ground shows through. They have an edging of pale yellow enamel. The pin also has a large copper swirl to complete the design.
The size is 2 5/8 x 2" and the pin is signed Matisse on the back.
